Do you renovate character and Queenslander homes in Brisbane? +

Yes, it's a big part of what we do. Brisbane's character homes need a builder who understands timber framing, stumps and restumping, VJ walls, and the rules around character and heritage overlays. Alby handles structural work, raising and building-in underneath, and sympathetic modern additions while protecting the home's character.

Can you raise my Brisbane home and build in underneath? +

Yes. Raising a Queenslander and legally building in underneath is one of the best ways to add bedrooms, a second living area or a rumpus without extending the footprint. We manage the engineering, restumping, approvals and the full fit-out of the new lower level.

Do I need council approval to renovate in Brisbane? +

It depends on scope. Internal cosmetic work usually doesn't, but structural changes, extensions, raising the home, or any work in a character/heritage or flood overlay generally does. We manage Brisbane City Council approvals and certification as part of the project.
